Avoid salicylates to get rid of nasal polyps

In their book, Nutritional Medicine (Pan Books, 1987), Drs Stephen Davies and Alan Stewart suggest that nasal polyps might respond to a low salicylate diet. [These are compounds related to aspirin and found in many fruits, almonds, tomatoes, cucumber, mint, peppers and olives; see p 450 of the above book for a comprehensive list.- Ed.] Worth a try!- H. Skeet, Norfolk
