FRUIT AND VEG? They're bad for you, of course
We need to eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables to stay healthy and well. Our governments tell us so, after all. But when our supermarkets say the same thing, they can be prosecuted and fined, at least in the UK they can.
We all have it fixed in our minds that we should eat five portions of fruit and vegetables a day. It’s a maxim from our health guardians that has become part of the national psyche - and it’s wrong.
