Flora Parsa Stay, D.D.S., received her degree from the University of California at San Francisco dental school. She supported a private practice while working in the Pedodontic Department of Santa Monica Hospital and has been a member of UCLA's Department of Periodontology teaching staff. To pursue her interest in alternative medicine, Dr. Stay attended the California College of Acupuncture. Dr. Stay has published numerous newspaper and journal articles regarding dental health. She has also hosted a popular radio talk show in Southern California and served as a guest on many radio and television talk shows. She is often featured as a guest lecturer for key health forums, meetings and workshops. As author of "The Complete Book of Dental Remedies" and founder of Grace Advantage "Redefining Health and Beauty", Dr. Stay has been quite busy promoting her products and helping others to take charge of their dental health.
William Collinge, PhD, MPH is a consultant, author, speaker and researcher in the field of integrative health care. He has served as a scientific review panelist for the National Institutes of Health in mind/body medicine, complementary therapies, and health care services; and for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs on breast cancer, prostate cancer, and PTSD/traumatic brain injury. He is the principal investigator of The Fibromyalgia Wellness Project, sponsored by the National Institute for Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, The Caring and Cancer Project, sponsored by the National Cancer Institute, and The Elder-Healer Project, sponsored by the National Institute on Aging. His prior research includes studies of integrative approaches to cancer, HIV/AIDS, chronic fatigue syndrome, immune enhancement, and community mental health practice. William was Clinical Supervisor at the Cancer Support and Education Center, Menlo Park, California, for nine years, and has led inspirational retreats and workshops with hundreds of people across North America, Hawaii and New Zealand. He has taught in the School of Public Health at the UC Berkeley and several other universities. With a special talent for interpreting complex health information, he has provided consumer advocacy content for CNN Health, WebMD and HealthWorld Online. He is also a Senior Editor of the Natural Standard Research Collaboration (NaturalStandard.com) which provides evidence-based content to Intelihealth and CancerSource. His books include Partners in Healing: Simple Ways to Offer Support, Comfort and Care to a Loved One Facing Illness (Shambhala, December, 2008), The American Holistic Health Association Complete Guide to Alternative Medicine (Warner), Subtle Energy (Warner), and Recovering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (Perigee). He was executive producer of the DVD program Touch, Caring and Cancer: Simple Instruction for Family and Friends. William received his PhD. and an MPH from the UC Berkeley where he was a Murphy Fellow of the American Cancer Society. He received clinical training at the Menninger School of Psychiatry and Harvard's Mind/Body Medical Institute.
Dr. Patrick Quillin, an internationally respected expert in the area of nutrition and cancer, has served as the Director of Nutrition for Cancer Treatment Centers of America (800-577-1255) for the past ten years. He has earned his bachelors, masters, and doctorate in nutrition and is a registered and licensed dietician (RD & LD) and Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) with the American College of Nutrition. Dr. Quillin has been a consultant to the National Institute of Health and is a best-selling author who has written 15 books which have sold over 1 million copies, including BEATING CANCER WITH NUTRITION, an international classic in the field of nutritional oncology.
Patricia Norris is Director of Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology at Life Sciences Institute of Mind-Body Health, Inc., with 25 years work in psychophysiology psychotherapy and biofeedback. Dr. Norris has worked with clients with cancer, AIDS, and autoimmune disorders since 1978. Her work emphasizes integrating body, emotions, mind, and spirit with self-regulation, psychosynthesis, and imagery/visualization. Her research interests include studies of brainwave training and psychosynthesis in addictive disorders, and subtle energies and states of consciousness. She was Clinical Director of the Biofeedback ad Psychophysiology Center at the Menninger Clinic, 1980-1994. Dr. Norris has lectured widely, has presented papers and workshops on the theory and applications of biofeedback, psychophysiologic therapy, psycho-synthesis, and visualization/imagery nationally and internationally. She has published numerous articles, and is the author of Working With Prisoners, or There's Nobody Else Here, and I Choose Life: The Dynamics of Visualization and Biofeedback (with Garrett Porter). She is a past president of the Biofeedback Society of America, and President Elect of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine. She is a faculty member of the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry and an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Union Graduate School, and is on the Advisory Board of the International School for Psychotherapy, Counseling and Group Leadership, The Gladys Taylor McGarey Medical Foundation, and HealthWorld Online.
