Byron Russell, recently named by the San Francisco Chronicle as one of the top 3 acupuncturists in the Bay Area, is an acupuncturist licensed to practice in California, as well as being a nationally certified diplomate (1999) in Acupuncture and in Chinese Herbology. A graduate of Meiji College of Oriental Medicine in Berkeley California and of the University of Chicago, he is a member of the International Yan Xin Gi Gong Association and of Pacific Shintaido/Shintaido of America, the local chapter of an international martial arts organization which focuses on spiritual development and expression through movement. Byron holds 2nd degree black belt degrees in Karate and Stick Fighting. A former staff acupuncturist with the Immune Enhancement Project in San Francisco, he has had a private practice in San Francisco since 1999. Byron provides workshops on Traditional Chinese Medicine and is regularly featured on TV, radio and in print for his expertise on the topic.
