Doctor prescribes Prozac to help beat exam jitters

My son, whose school fees have landed us in a financial crisis, was prescribed Prozac by his boarding school GP. He is 18 and about to do his A levels in June. Your article on antidepressants (Q&A, WDDTY, vol 13 no 1) helped me convince him that there are other ways to cope with the stresses and strains of modern life and exams.

I wanted to expose this GP for what he has done, but I don’t wish to put my son under any more pressure than he is already going through.
