FLUORIDE: It’s in our toothpaste and, from June, it could be in our w

The UK government is pushing through powers that will compel water authorities to fluoridate their water supply whenever a regional health authority issues the order. What people don’t realize is that these powers could be in place by the first week of June.

Extraordinarily, these measures are being made law with the minimum of public consultation and debate. Perhaps too much would be said to upset health officials, such as the fact that fluoride is a scheduled poison under the Poisons Act 1972.

Several studies have highlighted the dangers of fluoride to our children, partly because they are still growing, but also because their chemical intake to body size is greater.

It’s a debate that is still raging in the USA. The talking has already come to an end in the UK.

If you’d like to do something about it, visit http://www.npwa.freeserve.co.uk/crossreview.html for a review of the legislation, and send Jane Jones at the National Pure Water Association a note – copied to your local MP, water company and local newspaper – with wording along the lines: ‘I support the National Pure Water Association’s demand for a full, independent Public Inquiry into water fluoridation.’ Her email is: jane@npwa.freeserve.co.uk
