Reader’s Corner:Asthma and Aspirin

One reader was sceptical about our report that aspirin could cause asthma in ‘up to 21% of people’. What does that mean, he wonders? Well, the figure came from a meta-analysis of 66 medical studies, and several of these reported asthma-induced cases in 21 per cent of people. Other studies found a lower reaction level, hence the phrase ‘up to’.
