Readers’ letters: I beat cancer without chemo

I wanted to share with you my personal experience of combating cancer. In 1996, I was diagnosed with cancer of the colon. After doing some research – in particular, reading WDDTY and the book, What You Really Need To Know About Cancer, by Dr Robert Buckman – I decided not to go through with chemo. In 1997, I was diagnosed with cancer of the rectum, but again I refused to have chemotherapy.

I am now very well and happy, with nothing wrong with me! My surgeon congratulated me on my outlook from the start. He even said, “I’m coming round to your way of thinking.” – Wendy Hird, Devon
