Readers’ letters:Preparing for winter

Every winter I suffer from bad chest infections and I am dreading another winter of antibiotics as, last year, I had to take several courses. Tests have revealed that I have a very low level of secretory IgA antibodies and so I have started taking the probiotic Saccharomyces boulardii as this had been shown to increase levels of sIgA.

Does anyone have any advice that might further protect me this winter? I already take a multivitamin, EFAs, extra vitamin C and thymus extract, and my diet is pretty good.
Many thanks. – A.G., via e-mail
