UPDATE:FOLIC ACID: TOO LITTLE, TOO EARLY

Doctors still haven’t got it right about folic acid in pregnancy.


A recent study at Trinity College Medical School in Dublin found that women may need as much as 660 ug per day and that these extra requirements would continue during breastfeeding.


The current US recommendation is 400 ug/daily for pregnant women (300 in the UK).
