UPDATES:KEYHOLE SURGEONS WARNED ABOUT HOT AIR

Surgeons have been warned to look out for excess air below the diaphragm of patients after keyhole surgery as this may indicate a perforation of the intestine (American Surgeon, 1997; 63: 132-6).

For more information on keyhole surgery, see WDDTY vol 4, no 12, and the Hospital Survival Guide.
