Avian Flu:The drugs don’t work

The team reviewed 52 trials to evaluate the efficacy of antivirals for influenza in healthy adults, but could find “no credible evidence” for the effects of Relenza (zanamivir) and Tamiflu (oseltamivir) on avian influenza or pandemic influenza viruses.


Despite this, the researchers recommend that the drugs be used only in an avian-flu emergency.
