There are about 650,000 cases of pulmonary embolism each year in the US and about 30 per cent die. Although often quick, it is an unpleasant death, and so easily avoided.

It all has to do with blood clots developing in the veins in the leg area, usually when travelling by air. A clot escapes and rapidly makes its way to the lungs via the heart, and the chances so living beyond 15 minutes are small.

But there is a solution. Take two 500 mg of vitamin E in capsules, one in the morning and one in the evening, and they dissolve the clots. In fact, they will never form.

I have suffered from aching, burning feet and legs which have afflicted me, on and off, for two years. No medical writer seems to have dealt with it, so I assumed that small clots were involved somewhere and followed the Adelle Davis recipe, who recommended vitamin E for varicose veins, where the clot usually attaches itself to the blood vessel wall, causing swelling particularly in pregnancy when vitamin E requirements skyrocket.

I read Davis’ account of giving a pregnant woman who had ugly varicose veins 300 units of vitamin E after each meal, plus 1 gram of vitamin C six times a day. According to her account, the clot and the varicose veins disappeared before their eyes.

In my own case, I am 85 years old.

I take 100 units of vitamin E per day and four tiny capsules of tissue salts twice per day. I’ve noticed a big improvement.

My cardiologist gave me an angioscan in March 1999. He was very surprised my arteries were clear as a whistle everywhere, which he’d never before seen in anyone over 40.

What goes for the arteries goes for the veins. He agreed that vitamin C was responsible 2 g per day for 30 years.

My mitral valve murmur, first detected in 1985, is still unchanged. AT, Rugby…….

Thanks for your inspiring story. By the way, see WDDTY (vol 8 no 6) for what else to do about those burning legs.
