Fortunately, those brave chaps from medicine have gone ahead to find out – is there a difference between the penis sizes of babies from different ethnic backgrounds?
Armed with nothing more than a measuring stick, our boys in white went in and assessed the length and width of 105 newborn boys from three of the main ethnic groups – Chinese, white and East Indian.
And, yes, there are differences, albeit a matter of only a few millimetres. Some measured up as ‘borderline micropenis’, in fact.
Coyly, perhaps, the researchers don’t reveal which group had the biggest and the smallest. Maybe it’s just another example of boys sticking together (Hormone Res, 2001; 55: 278-81).
