READERS’ CORNER:Dead tooth

One reader has been advised to have root canal work on a discoloured tooth that may be dead. It’s a topic we covered fairly recently in an E-news or three (root out some back issues from the web site – no pun intended for once). Several readers again mentioned Hal Huggins, the American dentist. John Roberts in Huddersfield is the nearest equivalent in the UK, and he can also suggest a similarly talented dentist who practices in London. Everyone agrees that you shouldn’t have root canal work, and one reader was able to improve the look of her tooth when a dentist whitened her teeth.
