The Specific Carbohydrate Diet allows fresh fruit, honey and other simple carbohydrates, and prohibits grains and complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates, such as white sugar and wheat flour, damage the small intestine, and produce chronic diarrhoea, and they interfere with the body’s self-healing abilities.
