Doctors are using botulinum toxin, one of the most lethal biological toxins known to man, to treat sweating. One clinic in Vienna has injected the toxin into two women and five men who had complained of excessive sweating. Two said the treatment was very effective, although testing showed that three had lost the power in their grip for up to eight weeks afterwards. The doctors say this problem could limit the use of the therapy. That and the risk of killing the patient presumably.
