It is clear that acupuncture can help to solve the severe withdrawal symptoms experienced by those coming off hard drugs like heroin; however, withdrawal from drugs is only half the battle as a proper program of rehabilitation is required if hard drug addicts are to return to the community, and acupuncture can only provide assistance in part of this battle.
