The woman who hears her own voice ‘in her head’ can be helped in several ways. One reader believes the problem is associated with excess mucus in the Eustachian tubes, and is most likely caused by a food allergy, possibly to chocolate, cheese, or dairy. Smoking can also cause excess mucus.

Another suggests Hope candles, although we assume she means Hopi ear candles.
