One reader’s 13-year-old daughter has a continual problem of skin peeling from the bottom of her feet. Does anyone know what’s going on, asked our perplexed reader. Well, according to nutritionist Dr Gillian McKeith, flakey feet are a sign of yeast overload, so cut out the bread and eat more fruit and vegetables.
Another reader suggests something similar, but adds that vegetables should be cooked in olive oil to help increase vitamin E stores. Don’t know why it’s happening, says another reader, but try aloe propolis cream or gel.
A homoeopath suggests trying Arsen.Alb and Calc.Carb. Another reader suffered from peeling skin on her feet, and now it’s transferred to her hands. She’s found that a microscopic mite that burrows into the skin causes the condition. So her problem now is – how do you get rid of the mite?
Finally, one reader suggests that shedding skin is a natural process, and may be linked to puberty. (Not making that old faux pas of confusing us for snakes, are you? – Ed).
